‘Finding Astral Lovers’ is like the soundtrack to a party of wooden puppets, suspended from the string of electricity tied to Similar Objects’ fingers.
Possessing a sense of balance and deftness characteristic of his past releases, ‘Finding Astral Lovers’ is a more mature Similar Objects stepping on a stack of his previous music, as though in some way, drawing parallels between his musical and spiritual progression.
Deeply spiritual yet precise, the album sounds like an ancient pond shaking hands with a spaceship’s engine room, while acknowledging all the elements that have come to live between them.

ASTRAL TRAVEL - an...out-of body experience, wherein the spiritual traveller leaves the physical body and travels in his/her subtle body (or dreambody or astral body) into ‘higher’ realms.
think of each of these songs as some sort of dream journal of a number of (OBE) experiences i've come across during meditation and during sleep.
ASTRAL LOVER - will probably be a person with whom you have shared several past lives. Since this person is in spirit and you are in the physical, there should be no guilt even though you may be presently in a relationship. In fact, your astral lover will encourage you to form physical relationships and may even guide you to the right person. The astral lover will do all in her/his power to help you have a happy, fulfilling life in all ways.
these songs are immortalized forms of these sorts of encounters. small sound-spaces, lush soundscapes that reflect the nature and quality of these astral adventures.
